On several occasions I’ve found myself needing to create multi-page PDF documents from several source images. OSX has a built in way to accomplish this task and you didn’t even know it. This explains how to create multiple page PDFs from several images.
The only drawback to using this method is the resultant PDF is not as small as when created through other means, such as Canon’s MP Navigator. On the other hand, it’s dead simple.
1) Using Finder, select all the images you want to include in the single PDF. Right click the selection then select “Open With > Preview” in case Preview is not your default.
2) Open thumbnail view, click the first image, then press Command-A (or select “Edit > Select All” from the menu.
3) Now, don’t worry about exports or anything like that. We’re going to use the built in print to PDF feature. Press Command-P (or select “File > Print” from the menu). Then on the print sheet, click the PDF button in the bottom left and select “Save as PDF…”.
4) On the save sheet, fill in the name, location, title, and any other information you want, then click “Save”.
5) Preview has now processed each image into a multi-page PDF file.
